Rapid Drainage Ltd. is a construction company that focuses on directional drilling with pipe fusion, and vacuum excavation services.  Established in December 1996, Rapid Drainage has become the company you rely on for water main replacement, water service installation, conduit installation (electrical lines and fiber pathway insertion), sanitary force main installation, gas line installation, along with steel pipeline for a major oil company’s expansion.

HISTORY

Rapid Drainage ltd. was founded by Ted Skarbek and Joe Morin in December 1996, with a vision to make the construction industry aware of the benefits of horizontal directional drilling.  Their 75 years for combined expertise, make them the preferred vendor on countless projects for both the public and private sectors all over South Western Ontario.

Noticing there was an opportunity to expanded Rapid Drainage’s services, Dan Cote joined Ted and Joe in February 2006, with the goal to increase the productivity. Allowing the company and it’s highly trained team members to provide more services to the Private, Commercial and Residential markets.

SAFETY

Rapid Drainage Ltd. is a member of the ISNetworld and has yearly Safety Management Audits performed by the Sarnia Industrial Education Co-Operative (IEC). 

Rapid Drainage Ltd. takes great pride in our employees and makes their safety and the safety of those around our job site our first priority.  Rapid Drainage Ltd. strictly adheres to our safety policy.  Our team members are required to use proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when working on the jobsite or in the shop.

All of the team members at Rapid Drainage Ltd. receive up to date safety training on a regular basis.

VEHICLES AND EQUIPMENT

Rapid Drainage Ltd. takes the time and effort to keep all of our vehicles and machinery clean and maintained.  All vehicles and equipment receive regular maintenance including oil and filter changes at regular intervals.  Daily inspections are performed prior to leaving the yard to detect and repair any deficiencies that may arise.

UTILITY LOCATES

Contractors or homeowners that are planning to dig are required to call Ontario One Call to request a utility locate for the dig site.  Once the locates have been received, they must be reviewed to ensure that the required areas have, in fact, been located.  The crew will mobilize to the site with the Hydro Excavation truck to begin “daylighting” or uncovering portions of the utilities to verify the actual physical location prior to any excavation or drilling
